National Science and Media Museum, Bradford
Anna was contracted to work with us on our Activity Plan that would be submitted as part of our NLHF application. Anna was an excellent asset for the project and worked very closely with the team to create an excellent Activity Plan. She formed a great relationship with everyone on the project and her knowledge and expertise in all facets of the museum sector was invaluable. She was able to draw on her vast experience to give us expert advice which produced a first class Activity plan document.

Anna made an outstanding contribution to our project: her consultation was conducted with great skill and efficiency, and built considerable interest in our project – in the local community and beyond. The quality of the Activity Plan she constructed for our project was compelling and was instrumental in our successful Round Two bid to The National Lottery Heritage Fund. That Plan has been a huge help to us in realising the potential of our heritage to engage and excite audiences. Anna’s professionalism and diligence throughout also helped us prepare thoroughly for our management of such a significant project – our interaction with her helped drive positive changes in our team and organisation. It was a joy to work with such a class act and we would relish the prospect of working with her again!

Huguenot Museum, Rochester, Kent
Anna proved to be very easy to work with, and was most professional in her approach to the establishment of the first Huguenot Museum in this country.
Her knowledge of the ‘inner workings’ of the HLF proved to be invaluable as we were complete novices – she led us successfully through the tortuous rounds of the HLF application process resulting in a £1.2m. This was an excellent result as we were applying for a new project that had no track record.
As novices we were unaware of the importance of the educational side of our project to the HLF, and Anna focussed our application in this area, which I believe significantly helped in our success.
We are now more than two years into the live running of the Huguenot Museum. Visitor numbers are steadily increasing, our current Education Officer is making strides in involving local schools and other establishments, and we have a very healthy ongoing annual series of exhibitions and displays.
I believe that our success is largely due to the sound foundation that Anna set in place for us.

It was a pleasure to work with Anna in her role as Activity Plan consultant for our HLF Kick the Dust programme project ‘Norfolk Journeys’. This project is a very complex one, involving the development of a new and sustainable programme of activities targeted at young people aged 11-25, including the most hard to reach. Anna directed a comprehensive programme of consultation with young people and stakeholders that informed a detailed action plan, deploying an impressive range of skills. I have no hesitation in recommending Anna as an expert heritage learning consultant.

Various projects with Julia Holberry Associates
I have asked Anna to join my teams on many occasions as our heritage learning expert. Anna is full of ideas, very creative and her practice has been enriched by her experience abroad, which brings an unmatched breadth of experience and knowledge of comparators, providing a level of expertise that is hard to come by anywhere else. She is easy to work with, conscientious, communicates well (both in presentations and on paper) and consistently delivers on time and on budget.
I would have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
